Send a Repair to Review
After all required documentation has been fulfilled, send the repair to a reviewer for approval.
Required: A repair cannot be sent to review until all documentation requirements have been fulfilled. For instructions, see Fulfill Documentation Requirements.
Important: Before sending the repair to review, confirm that all CCC changes have finished syncing. While the repair is in Needs Review, it cannot be manually edited, and Secure Share updates are not accepted or queued. If changes are exported during this status, export the updated CCC workfile again after the repair moves to Insufficient Evidence or Ready to Send. Learn more about Secure Share updates during review.
Send a Repair to Review
Step 1: Click Send to Review
- Open the repair.
- Select the Send to Review button in the upper right header.

Step 2: Monitor the Review Status
The repair moves to Needs Review, and a reviewer in your organization can evaluate it.
After the reviewer makes a decision:
- If the repair is approved, it moves to Ready to Send.
- If the repair is rejected, it moves to Insufficient Evidence, and the reviewer’s feedback is attached.
If the Repair Is Rejected
Open the repair and review the reviewer’s feedback.
Add or replace any missing documentation and correct any incomplete labels or repair-line links. For instructions, see:
- Add Repair Documentation
- Fulfill Documentation Requirements
- Set Up the Repair Plan: Auto Link & Manual Linking
After addressing the feedback and confirming that all requirements are fulfilled, select Send to Review again.
What's next?
If you are following the Quick Start sequence, your next step depends on the repair’s status and your permissions:
- If the repair is in Needs Review and your permissions allow you to review repairs, continue to Review a Repair.
- If the repair is in Needs Review and you do not have review permissions, wait for an authorized reviewer to approve it.
- After the repair is approved and moves to Ready to Send, continue to Share a Repair Externally.
