Why Aren’t CCC Changes Updating While a Repair Is in Needs Review?

When a repair moves to Needs Review, changes are temporarily disabled so the reviewer can evaluate the submitted version without it changing during the review.

While the repair is in Needs Review:

  • The repair cannot be manually edited in Collision Clarity.
  • Secure Share updates are not accepted.
  • Changes to the CCC estimate—including repair lines, rates, and totals—will not update in Collision Clarity.

Important: Secure Share updates exported while the repair is in Needs Review are not queued or saved for later. The updated CCC workfile must be exported again after the repair moves to a status that accepts updates.

Statuses That Accept Secure Share Updates

Secure Share updates are accepted while a repair is in any of these statuses:

  • Create
  • In Progress
  • Insufficient Evidence
  • Ready to Send
  • Portal Sent

Secure Share updates are not accepted while a repair is in Needs Review.

Apply CCC Changes After a Repair Enters Needs Review

If the repair requires corrections, an authorized reviewer should reject it. The repair will move to Insufficient Evidence, allowing changes to be made.

If the reviewer approves the repair, it will move to Ready to Send, which also accepts Secure Share updates.

After the repair moves out of Needs Review:

  1. Confirm that the required changes have been saved in CCC.
  2. Export the updated workfile again through your configured CCC Secure Share or BMS workflow.
  3. Confirm that the repair plan, rates, and totals have updated in Collision Clarity.
  4. If the repair was rejected, address any remaining reviewer feedback and send it to review again.

If the repair is already in Create, In Progress, Insufficient Evidence, Ready to Send, or Portal Sent, you can export the updated CCC workfile without waiting for another status change.

If the Repair Still Does Not Update

If the changes do not appear after the workfile is exported in a supported status, contact support and provide:

  • The Collision Clarity file number
  • The repair’s current status
  • The approximate date and time of the export
  • A description of the information that did not update
