Text Message Repair Portal Sharing
You can now share repair plans by text message. This update also gives you control over the AI summary on every send, makes search show everything at once, and improves photo and video reliability.
Share repair plans by text message
The Share tab can now send a repair plan by text message as well as email. As before, the tab appears once a repair is ready to send.
- Add a mobile number when you create or edit a contact. Before the number can receive texts, confirm that the customer has agreed to receive text messages from your shop.
- Send to each person by text, email, or both. Every person still gets their own private link.
- Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and back in by replying START. The app keeps track, so you can't accidentally text someone who has opted out.
- If a message can't be delivered, the Shared with list shows the failure and gives you a Retry button.
Choose when to include the AI summary
The share composer now has an "Include AI summary" checkbox. It's on by default, and unchecking it leaves the summary out of that send only — each send is its own choice.
The summary itself is also more accurate. It now reads the repair plan's line items, so it correctly distinguishes a repair-and-refinish job from one involving panel replacement, and describes what is being repaired, replaced, or blended.
Search shows everything at once
The search bar no longer asks you to pick a category first. Type once and every match appears, grouped into Locations and Repairs, with the text you typed highlighted wherever it matched — a customer name, RO number, vehicle, or VIN. A compact "Include archived" chip under the search box replaces the old archived-repairs switch.
More reliable photos and videos
- Videos recorded with the in-app recorder on iPhone no longer freeze partway through while the audio keeps playing. The recorder also detects a camera problem during recording instead of failing silently.
- Files inside downloaded packages are now named after their photo labels, so a package reads like your documentation checklist instead of showing internal file names with random characters.
- Photos uploaded at the same time with the same name can no longer overwrite each other in storage.
Other improvements
- Opening the app now takes you to Home instead of Team Members.
- Shared repair-plan pages always label the tab "Repair Plan" for your recipients, including on repairs you've archived.
